Val Hornstein

The firm’s founder, Val practices in the areas of civil litigation and commercial transactions, including intellectual property. He has developed a successful specialty in securities arbitration and litigation where he has received multiple million dollar plus awards for his Clients. Val is a graduate of Colgate University and George Washington University Law School and is licensed to practice in California, New York and the District of Columbia, as well as numerous federal courts, including the Supreme Court of the United States. Prior to his legal career, Val was an information systems analyst with the global information technology company, Unisys Corporation. A former board member of the American Judicature Society, he has served on the State Bar of California Business Law Section, Cyberspace Subcommittee, was an adjunct professor of e-Business in the Graduate International Business Studies Program of Dominican University of California. He serves as judge pro tem and settlement conference panelist in the San Francisco and Marin County Superior Courts and is an arbitrator with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). He writes and speaks widely on legal issues.
