Bruce Winkelman

Bruce H. Winkelman is the co-founder and managing partner of the law firm Craig & Winkelman LLP where he maintains an active mediation practice.  He is an adjunct professor of law at Golden Gate University, School of Law, teaching mediation and insurance coverage.  He has received about 100 hours of formal CLE-certified training in community, civil, commercial, appellate and advanced mediation theory and practice.  Mr. Winkelman has published on ADR issues, and frequently lectures and provides client seminars on numerous alternative dispute resolution and mediation topics. 

Since 1993 Mr. Winkelman has acted as a third party neutral mediating a wide range of commercial, tort and contract related disputes.  He serves as a mediator for a number of organizations including the United States District Court, Northern District of California mediation panel, the First Appellate District Mediation Program, and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of California Bankruptcy Dispute Resolution Program.  He has also served as a member of the California State Bar, Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee.

As an experienced, AV-rated, trial attorney, Mr. Winkelman brings a unique perspective to the challenges and opportunities in civil litigation.  Besides hands-on litigation experience in complex matters, his 20-plus years of experience with insurance coverage and contract analysis provides valuable insights to the insurance industry that prove useful in a wide range of disputes.
