Join Tem Ysmael, TMS Webmaster and a cybersecurity leader and IT project manager at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution, for a special two-part training designed to help you strengthen your digital confidence and protect your online presence.
In the first 30-minute session (October 22), we will cover the essentials for those who aren’t tech-savvy: simple, practical steps to spot scams, avoid common mistakes, and keep your information safe.
In the second 30-minute session (November 5) we will go deeper, offering advanced strategies and tools to help you secure client data, manage online communications safely, and stay ahead of evolving threats. Whether you run your own mediation practice or simply want peace of mind online, this training will give you clear, actionable takeaways you can put into practice right away.
October 22 --Session 1 (Beginner-friendly):
How to recognize phishing emails, fake links, and scam texts.
Easy habits for stronger passwords (and password managers).
What to do if something looks suspicious (reporting, pausing, verifying).
Everyday device hygiene (updates, locking screens, avoiding public Wi-Fi risks).
November 5-- Session 2 (Advanced/Practice-focused):
Protecting client data and sensitive case information.
Secure ways to handle email, file sharing, and Zoom/online meetings.
Deepfakes, AI scams, and impersonation risks (and how to spot them).
Tools and strategies you can use to stay resilient without a big budget.
